More About Us
Stories told the Folkway.
We're a film production studio based in the heart of the New River Gorge National Park in southern West Virginia. We're dedicated to telling stories the folk way, capturing culture and reshaping the narrative of West Virginia and the surrounding Appalachian Region.
We're drawn to culturally impactful stories and connecting stories with people and brands. Our latest feature documentary film, Into the Well: 100 Miles. 32 Hours. 200 Racers. tells the story of personal endurance. An excruciating test of how far one is willing to push themself to achieve their dreams and accomplish their goals. Follow three West Virginians as they prepare for the first 100-mile ultramarathon in the New River Gorge National Park where they'll take on a challenge far greater than they could ever have imagined.
Whether it's high-end commercials, music videos, short or feature documentary films, we produce visual content that resonates with viewers, regardless of genre, scale or platform. From creating the overall strategy, to organizing and executing the shoot, to managing the multifaceted post-production process, we ensure our clients’ projects are seamless from start to finish.
Whether you’re starting with a vague idea or a fully-fleshed out concept, The Folkway can bring your vision to life. If you have an upcoming project, get in touch today so we can work together.
